Have you ever been to Red Lodge, MT? If not, it is a slice of heaven. The town is surrounded by mountains and open land and in the middle of it all is a place run by Linda and her husband who will always have the door open for you - even if they are closed. What i like the most about this place is it has tradition and style and it feels like somewhere where you could lose yourself for an entire day, maybe more. And when you get hungry there are a number of good eats from Schmeckins which is their house speciality to a good slice of pie or pizza. You can also find the City bakery at the farmer's market in Billings during the summer - if you are ever in the area it is worth the trip - you just might decide to stay for a while.

Best donuts in the region! Worst service as well! Glad they can service the bikers that swarm to town and just ignore the locals that just want a dozen donuts for brunch. Won't be back.

What a great old bakery the aroma of baked goods hits you add you walk in. They do a sausage grilled onions and cheese roll. It's all mixed into the tool and beyond great. It's hard to impress me. I try to figure how to make it better. But that didn't even cross my mind, what did was buying another without my wife knowing lol

I can't say enough good things about Linda....she is a cake artist extraordinaire! We have relatives on a ranch outside Red Lodge, and she has made us some of the most wonderful, artistic and delicious cakes over the past few years to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries.... Her cakes would make her a star here in LA, and make us a lot poorer paying for them as well!

Best bakery ever. I've been viting there for years and Linda and family are wonderful. Great staff and the baked goods are super. A must when visiting Red Lodge. Do try one of their "schmeckens."
